A small, hard-working legal document assistant firm based in Irvine, California. Established in 1992, we hit

the ground running with our business model, providing the average person affordable access to the legal system. We offer our clients a wide variety of self-help legal assistance at affordable prices.

In the early 1990's, we came to realize just how great the need was for affordable legal assistance, a need which wasn't being met by the legal community.  We understood that the solution was not more attorneys, but more self-help document assistance for non-attorneys. This approach allows individuals to take control of their own legal matter, avoid the high cost of attorney fees, and more importantly, achieve better results.

We therefore adopted the legal document business model established by Nolo Press, Inc. in Berkeley, California in the mid-1980's.  We worked hard to provide the public with excellent service and the response was overwhelming. The results were highly encouraging, and the satisfaction of seeing individuals successfully negotiate their own legal matter without an attorney was priceless.  The movement has continued to expand over the last 27 years.

Our professionals have served on the board of directors for "CALDA" (formerly "CAIP"), and have played a role in promoting California's Senate Bill 1418, a bill which pioneered the legal self-help movement. The bill eventually passed, was signed into law on January 1, 2000, and created a new designation for professionals who assist the general public with their own legal matters without giving legal advice.  This new designation is known as Legal Document Assistant, or "LDA".
